[hurly_burly]

have had a lovely day.  many loads of washing were hung out, and then we went to burnie with miss k and her littlies.  we found a lovely big leafy park with plenty of play equipment and NO SWINGS (and thus no need to push kids on the swings until our arms fell off) and spent a thorooughly civilised afternoon there.
the small girl is about to have a bath and then an nice early night (she's currently wearing a grey woolen viking apron dress over her tshirt and jeans, very fetching), and then i'm going to do herbed salmon with lemon for dinner.  can't decide between a salad or steamed vegetables, so i'll ask not_an_elf  what he'd prefer when he gets home, and i've put a bottle of rose in the fridge.  yay.  and yummy cheese for afters.

i am not going to eat another date scone before dinner.  no i'm not.

Good chocie. The scone would taste good, but then you'd have to miss dinner, and it sounds like you've got a lovely, healthy, dinner planned. Much better to wait!

yup, it was yummy, and now there are still enough scones for morning tea tomorrow. yay!
