big week coming up!  off to sydney on thursday, back on saturday evening, then if my love isn't working on sunday i'm moving house!  woo hoo!
it will be good to have a home, and be settled in one place after the many months of vagrancy since i sold my house.  it's scary to be moving away from hobart, and my family and (most of) my friends, and to have changed jobs as well, but it feels unquestionably right.  it will be a bit of a shock for both of us, having lived alone for the last few years, but i'm sure we'll sort things out ;)

have also found several pictures with pretty clothes that i would like to have a go at making (with much assistance from miss d, i expect).  one is an engraving by cesare vecellio (http://www.festiveattyre.com/research/wkclass/wk17.html), and the other is the engagement portrait of anne of cleves by hans holbein the younger (http://www.wga.hu/art/h/holbein/hans_y/1535h/04cleves.jpg).  ooh, pretty!  i love anne's headdress in particular, and i think this dress would be an adminrable project for the 10m of green velveteen i picked up on the spesh at spotlight last month.
