Stitchery and Citrus Fruit

It has been a day for getting little things done.  I turned a pile of lemons and limes into six bottles of cordial (very yummy!), and finished my present for our incoming Baroness.  It's a white linen napkin, hand-hemmed with silk thread, with her device in one corner (appliqueed, split stitch in coloured silk on a linen ground, with a surface couched goldwork border to neaten the edge up).  His Imminence is getting the same (well, with his device, obviously).  I also did various boring household chores, and am now going to spend the remainder of the evening in front of the fire, stitching.

Have you heard anything back on the job? I have my fingers crossed for you, but have been so flat between flu and J's 40th that I have failed to tell you this. And I WANT TO BE THERE EATING AND DRINKING THE YUMMIES!!!

Nothing yet, but the interview was only on Friday, so I'm not expecting any word until the end of this week (the wheels of Aged Care Administration turn slowly). Hope you're feeling better, and that J's birthday was the last word in fabulous! Are you going to Midwinter? I can bring some yummies over for you if you are :)
