A Barely Coherant Ramble about Work.
I start work on Monday, but the first two days are orientation, paperwork, training, and the procuration of the ugly ugly polyester uniforms. I have one day of actual work on Thursday and then on Friday we're hopping on a plane to Brissy for Great Northern War. Huzzah! I'm looking forward to the small girl's first plane ride, but she remains unconvinced. Apparently 'airy-planes are too scary for girls.' Then again, she also claims that 'Toy Story' is too scary, but will happily watch 'Labyrinth' on repeat. She is a strange little person.
Anyway, most of my work paperwork is sorted out, but I still need to get certified copies of 100 points of ID to support my police check form, and find a piece of paper with my TFN on it (not an easy task after moving so often lately). Other than that, childcare is sorted (there's a childcare centre next door to the facility), and on payday I will need to buy a new pair of shoes.
I have accomplished nothing on the sewing front, but I have written another 1000 words of the not-very-clandestine writing project (which means it is now slightly longer than most of my uni essays!). Erm...hooray?
